The rumors are flying that Kate Middleton has an eating disorder, with gossip magazine Life and Style asking if Kate Middleton is anorexic.
In an August 22 cover story entitled Kate: Refusing to Eat, the magazine claims Kate Middleton is starving herself. It alleges that her sister Pippa Middleton is so worried about Kate that she phones 5 times a day to check on her eating habits.
Yet all RELIABLE reports say this is a bunch of baloney (pardon the pun). Shortly before Will and Kate’s wedding, Catherine Middleton — now the Dutchess of Cambridge — was spotted dining with Pippa and Prince Charles’ wife Camila, the Duchess of Cornwall, at Koffman’s, an upscale Knightsbridge restaurant. Observers noted that Kate ordered foie gras and red wine, finished everything on her plate and even ordered dessert.
My take? Now that the royal wedding is over and a royal baby hasn’t yet been announced, the media needs SOMETHING to talk about. Targeting Kate Middleton’s weight right after her high-profile pre-wedding weight loss (she dropped two dress sizes between the November engagement announcement and the April nuptials) is an obvious way to keep Kate in the headlines.
Because, at the end of the day, the magazines know readers are hungry for more news about Kate.
