So I just watched a one-hour Pippa Middleton documentary on TLC tonight. Their tribute to Kate’s little sister brought a few things to light:
- For all the hoopla surrounding Pippa, we know very little about her.
- No one has ever heard Pippa speak in public. No remarks, no interview, not even a “hello.” The world has no idea how her voice sounds.
- Pippa is Kate’s best friend, and therefore probably the first person who discovered Kate was dating William. In fact, I bet (most people would bet!) Pippa knows the most juicy secrets about the Kate-and-Will relationship, especially its early years.
- Pippa has dated some H-O-T guys … all with huge muscles and even bigger bank accounts.
- Really, we don’t know much about Pippa. The one-hour tribute really had to stretch to find enough material to fill one hour … even going so far as to film a Zumba class while speculating that Pippa uses cross-training to maintain her figure.
- The tribute also filled some time interviewing hairstylists about Pippa’s cut. The stylist described the qualities of the haircut (it’s classic; it’s versatile; it works best for up-do’s) and compared it to the iconic Rachel-from-Friends haircut that caught fire in the 1990’s. In other words …. we really need to fill some time here. We know almost nothing about Pippa. And no one close to her is talking.
- The tribute raised the great point that — for as much sleuthing that the media has done into Pippa’s life, and for as much of a reputation she has for her “life-of-the-party” personality, it’s stunning that no one has dug up any scandal or dirt on Pippa. The worst that anyone has ever found is a photo of her dancing in a bra. That’s it. You’d think — with hundreds of reporters searching for a scandal — that there would be more, wouldn’t you?
